The lab is open
Four prototypes are on the floor, and the process behind them gets published — including the parts that failed.
magenta.LAB is open. It is the prototype workshop attached to studio magenta, and this site is where its work gets written down.
What is on the floor
Four experiments are running. One has shipped and is in use. The other three have nothing you can download yet, and the project pages say so plainly rather than hiding behind a waitlist form. A dead button is worse than an honest “in progress”.
What gets published here
The process, not the highlight reel. That means a devlog entry can end in “this does not work, here is why”, and it will still be posted with a date on it. A lab that only publishes its wins is a marketing department.
Three things will show up in this log:
- Notices — announcements about the lab itself, like this one.
- Devlogs — what was built, what broke, and what the fix actually was.
- Research — open questions, written down before they have answers.
Some of it will be wrong later. When that happens, the correction gets its own entry instead of a quiet edit to the original. The record of having been wrong is usually the more useful half.
Everything here is written in English and Korean. Where a translation is not ready yet, the English original is shown with a notice — never a missing page.
